The upgraded three-dimensional graphics within the familiar side-scrolling perspective adds a visual upgrade that retains the series’ charm. Multiple playable characters that fans will love and recognize, diverse weaponry from conventional to outlandish, and engaging rides contribute to wide range of combat scenarios. Aside from the traditional chapter-ized story mode, the inclusion of a variety of game modes like PvP, Coop, and even a roguelite-esque game mode greatly enhances replay value.

Ultimately, the game offers an enticing blend of the beloved Metal Slug formula, new game modes, and modern mobile gaming trends, making it a free-to-play game with in-game purchases and gacha elements. At the end of the day, I think it’s worthwhile experience for both long-time fans of the series and even newcomers who have missed out on the classic Metal Slug games.

A Space for the Unbound is the story of a boy and a girl — both with supernatural powers — in a slice-of-life turned fantasy romance adventure against a 90’s Indonesian backdrop. A nice change of setting from the usual Japanese-themed similar works of art, like the popular Makoto Shinkai Anime movies Your Name and Weathering with You, all embodied in video game format.

Way more forgiving and fun than I expected and I love it | Black Myth: Wukong Review

Black Myth: Wukong is an action-RPG rooted deeply in the 16th-century Chinese literary classic, Journey to the West. Players step into the fur of the "Destined One," a monkey warrior who bears a striking resemblance to the legendary Sun Wukong. The story isn't just a simple retelling; it’s a soulful journey where you retrace the footsteps of the original Monkey King, seeking to recover lost relics and perhaps reclaim a legacy that was shattered long ago. It’s a narrative-heavy experience, packed with cinematic flair and a deep reverence for its mythological roots.

Fully Embracing the Franchise's Split Personality | Resident Evil Requiem Review

Resident Evil Requiem throws you into a gorgeous, terrifying experiment that mashes the creeping, claustrophobic terror of the modern titles right up against the heavy-hitting, battle-tested action of the classics. It is a wildly ambitious juggling act that absolutely nails the moment-to-moment gameplay, even if it occasionally trips over its own feet trying to rush you to the finish line.
